Ocean energy in the European Union

Ocean energy is a n upcoming renewable resource that under the right conditions could contribute around 10% of EU power demand by 2050. Currently only a few tidal and wave energy designs have reached maturity, but there is a strong pipeline of upcoming projects in the EU. There are still high initial costs, which are expected to decrease with increasing deployment.
