Heat Pumps in the European Union

Heat pumps save energy and money, reduce emissions, and make the energy system more flexible. Sales are growing very fast, driven by high gas prices and policies to phase out boilers. Manufacturers in the EU are investing heavily to keep up with this demand and are on track to meet the REPowerEU target of doubling the pace of deployment. However, more attention needs to be paid to availability of trained installers, to semiconductor supplies, and to finance.
