Clean Energy Outlooks: Analysis and Critical Review

The results of 13 energy scenario studies (despite differences in levels of ambition, methodological approaches and foreseen transformation speeds), show that electricity will fuel our economies in the future, either directly or via enabling intermediate technologies, such as green hydrogen and synthetic fuels. By 2030, electricity and electricity-based fuels are projected to meet above 40% of total final demand in the EU and 90% by 2050.
