Advanced biofuels in the European Union

Technologies for advanced (second generation) biofuels from feedstock with no direct or indirect land use change are progressing fast. The EU is world leader in commercial plants, even if overall production capacity is still marginal. New technologies are ready to exploit the potential of those waste and residues feedstocks.
