Description

Heat pumps save energy and money, reduce emissions, and make the energy system more flexible. Sales are growing fast, driven by volatile gas prices and policies to phase out boilers. Manufacturers in the EU are investing heavily to keep up with this demand and are on track to meet the REPowerEU target of doubling the pace of deployment. However, more attention needs to be paid to availability of trained installers, to component supplies, and to increasing the market share of larger heat pumps for district heat networks and industrial applications.
