Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
The KPIs are considered as concrete and quantified programme milestones for each key action of the Work Programme of an Initiative. Hence, the KPIs are programme specific, albeit based on a common approach. The common denominator foreseen for each Initiative relates to cost/capital and Operation & Maintenance costs, as well as the production costs of the related energy.
Ultimately, the outcome of the EIIs is as a flagship programme for technology innovation and should be reflected in the sector performance, and hence serve to evaluate how the innovation contributes to reaching the EU Energy Policy goals, the so-called SET-Plan effect.
Consequently, SETIS is establishing in parallel to the KPIs of the EIIs, sector indicators to monitor the technology market evolution over time. This dual approach is currently implemented jointly with the SET-Plan Community Stakeholders.
